Location
Bad Staffelstein is located in Franconia, in the north of Bavaria, which is the most southern of Germany’s 16 federal states.
A lot of tourists are lured by the numerous breweries and other attractions that are typical for this region. So Bad Staffelstein offers a lot of cultural, natural and religious sights and is by the way located on the road to Compostela. The next bigger city is Lichtenfels, the “Deutsche Korbstadt” (German basket town), famous for its basket-making. Every year in September there is a popular basket market that attracts many international tourists.
